2019 fellow Leah Johnson published a bestselling debut YA novel "You Should See Me in a Crown," and her next novel "Rise to the Sun is scheduled to release in 2021.

2018 fellow José Olivarez released his debut book of poems, "Citizen Illegal" in 2018 from Haymarket Books. He also finished editing the poetry anthology "The Breakbeat Poet Vol. 4: LatiNext."

2018 fellow Glynnis Macnicol's memoir "No One Tells You This" was published in 2018.

2017 fellow Matt Farwell's book "American Cipher: Bowe Bergdahl and the U.S. Tragedy in Afghanistan" was published in 2019 with Penguin Press and he was interviewed by The New York Times.

2017 fellow Jennifer Croft received a 2018 Man Book International Prize for her translation from Polish of Olga Tokarczuk's Flights. Her memoir "Homesick" was published in 2019.

2017 fellow Calvin Gimpelevich published "Invasions" in 2018, a book of short stories that was a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award.

2017 fellow Joanne McNeil's first book "Lurking" was published in 2020 and was reviewed by The New York Times.

Our 2017 fellow Jamel Brinkley published short story collection "A Lucky Man in 2018." It was a finalist for the National Book Award in Fiction and James was the Winner of the 2018 Ernest J. Gaines Award for Literary Excellence.
